by The Rahula Trust
Director

Bambaragalayaya Village is a small village about 30 miles away from Kurunegala in North Western Province in Kurunegala District.

In this remote village, most of the villagers are farmers, cultivating the land. There are about 200 families living in this village and younger children go to Bambaragalayaya Primary school. It has classes from grade 1-5 with 54 children and 9 teachers.

There were no tables and chairs for teachers in class rooms and in the principal's office. Additionally, the children are attending school with a lot of difficulties.

Therefore, the Rahula Trust has donated tables and chairs throughout the school, and the Trust has helped alleviate the difficulties of the children by donating bags containing essential school equipment, i.e., pencils, pens, rulers and notebooks.
